Export of agricultural products to the EU: more grain carriers and transport corridors are needed

In addition, the amount of funding for such assistance is much less compared to the economic consequences that limited Ukrainian exports can lead to. At the very least, we are talking about rising food prices and the likely social discontent of the population EU countries,” Bashlyk stressed.

He added that now almost half of the grain exported from Ukraine is transported along the Danube to the Romanian port of Constanta. At the same time, there is a lack of infrastructure and administrative capacity.

‚ÄúPorts have limited capacity as there are not enough barges, berths and terminals. This is a significant challenge that still needs to be coordinated and streamlined by existing supply chains, establishing new routes to ensure that delays are minimized as much as possible. new harvest and temporary storage of Ukrainian exports,” the deputy minister stated.
