Expert: Weakening of the ruble is not expected

The European currency rose above 67 rubles for the first time since May.

And what is the reason for this and whether the fall will continue further, said in an interview with Pravda.Ru Associate Professor of the Department “Regulation of the Activities of Financial Institutions” of the Faculty of Finance and Banking (FFBD) of the RANEPA, Candidate of Economic Sciences Yuri Tverdokhleb.

“I don’t think there will be an increase. I think that the point is that we have a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia ahead of us this week, and, in general, the market reacts and, including, and in connection with the expectations of directors on the key rate. But, in general, I can tell you that, in principle, our ruble, in general, as they say, fluctuates between 60 and 70 rubles. Therefore, in principle, these are purely situational fluctuations that do not have any long-term trend, especially the weakening of the ruble,” the analyst said.
