Ex-deputy Zhvania died as a result of shelling of a car in Zaporozhye

In the Pohovsky district of the Zaporozhye region, as a result of shelling by the invaders of a car at a Russian checkpoint, former people’s deputy David Zhvania was killed.

This was confirmed to Ukrinform by a source in the Zaporozhye Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the prosecutor’s office, this happened on May 9. An enemy shell hit the car, an explosion occurred.

The fact that in the Zaporozhye region Zhvania was killed during shelling was reported earlier in Facebook public figure and former People’s Deputy Igor Mosiychuk. In particular, he wrote: “Zhvania tried to leave the territory controlled by Ukraine… in the temporarily occupied territory he was met by FSB officers… they were supposed to take him to Moscow… and then back to Ukraine…”.

Under the procedural leadership of the Zaporozhye Regional Prosecutor’s Office, criminal proceedings were initiated on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (part 2 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
