Europe’s economy is “flattened into a pancake”

Incident on “Nordic streams“and the general state of the European economy led to a sharp weakening of the euro. This was stated by a financial analyst Mikhail Belyaevcommenting in an interview with Pravda.Ru on the fall of the EU single currency below 52 rubles.

According to him, a few months ago, experts predicted that the euro and dollar exchange rates against the ruble would not stabilize in the near future. At the same time, he stressed that the accidents at Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 became a “completely unexpected scenario.”

As the specialist explained, due to this situation and the economic crisis, the euro exchange rate, most likely, will never grow again.

“The European economy is now flattened like a pancake, and there have been accidents on gas pipelines. They did not leave the European Union a chance to restore the economic system in the short term. All this determined the depreciation of the euro against both the ruble and the dollar,” he said. Belyaev.

He also added that the euro could continue to fall in the winter, when problems in the energy sector worsen in Europe.

On Friday, September 30, the euro exchange rate on the Moscow Exchange fell below the peak values of 2014, when Crimea became part of Russia.
