Estonia handed over fire trucks for forestry to Zhytomyr region

Estonia donated two fire engines for forestry and the necessary equipment to the Zhytomyr region.

This was announced by Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko in Telegramreports Ukrinform.

“Estonia is one of the biggest partners of Ukraine, like all the Baltic countries. We all know from ourselves what Russian aggression is. I am grateful to our friends for their comprehensive support. During the visit to the Zhytomyr region, our colleagues handed over two fire engines for forestry and equipment,” Tymoshenko wrote.

He noted that this is a very important assistance for the region, since forest fires in the Zhytomyr region are a real problem. “For example, in 2020, it was the Zhytomyr region that suffered the most from this disaster. This is dozens of hectares of forest. We are talking not only about the plantations themselves, but also about the towns and villages located next to the forest. It is important that the region has equipment that can help in fire prevention and rapid localization,” the deputy head of the OP added.
