Commander of the Ukrainian Navy discussed the situation in the Black Sea with colleagues from the United States

Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa discussed the situation in the Black Sea with Commander of the United States Navy in Europe and Africa Admiral Stuart Munch and Commander of the US 6th Fleet Vice Admiral Eugene Black.

According to Ukrinform, the press service of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports this in Telegram.

The meeting of the commanders took place in the format of a videoconference. Neizhpapa briefed foreign colleagues on the current situation around Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and also informed about the efforts made by Ukraine to overcome the global food crisis through the export of Ukrainian agricultural products by sea.

It is noted that during the online conference, as well as during meetings with other military leaders of the partner countries, the main discussion was on ways of further cooperation, development and enhancement of the combat capabilities of the Ukrainian Navy in order to most effectively counter Russian aggression.

As Ukrinform reported, according to the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the morning of August 3, in the Black and Mediterranean Seas, the Russian Federation holds seven carriers of Kalibr-type cruise missiles. During the day, in the interests of the Russian Federation, the passage through the Kerch-Yenikal Strait was carried out: in the Sea of ​​\u200b\u200bAzov – 29 ships, four of which moved from the Bosphorus Strait; in the Black Sea – 35 vessels, six of which continued to move towards the Bosphorus Strait.
