Russian leader Vladimir Putin signed a death decree title Hero of Russia Colonel Olga Kachura.
The corresponding document appeared on site Kremlin. Kachura commanded an artillery rocket division of the People’s Militia of the DPR. On Wednesday, August 3, the mayor of Gorlovka Ivan Prikhodko announced her death.
“Putin signed a decree conferring the title of Hero of Russia to Colonel Olga Kachura (posthumously) for courage and heroism shown in the performance of military duty,” the Kremlin press service commented.
Earlier it became known that the legendary female commander of the army of the Donetsk People’s Republic with the call sign “Korsa” died as a result of a shell hitting the car in which she was. Kachura stood at the origins of the People’s Militia of the DPR, trained fighters since 2014.
