Countries that claim that providing Ukraine with weapons to counter Russian aggression makes it a participant in the war are in fact spreading the Putin narrative.
This was stated by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba at a joint press conference with his German counterpart Annalena Berbock in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Kuleba stressed that the future of European security and prosperity is now being decided in Ukraine. Whether Putin is stopped here in Ukraine will determine the future of Europe.
“I believe that Ukraine is behaving very honestly in this situation: we are not dragging any other country into the war, we are not asking to send our soldiers here and fight for us. We shed our blood for our land, but also for the future security and economic prosperity of Europe. Therefore, we expect that European countries will continue to provide Ukraine with all the necessary support in the form of weapons, sanctions and economic support,” the head of Ukrainian diplomacy said.
He added that there is not a single international document or textbook on the history of wars that says that the transfer of weapons or the application of sanctions is participation in the war or leads to the involvement of the country in the war.
“Those who claim otherwise are really just spreading the president’s Russian narratives Putinwhich, of course, benefits from Ukraine being left alone, so that he can kill millions of people here and arrange several more Booches,” the minister noted.
As Ukrinform reported, Hungarian Ambassador to Ukraine Istvan Iydjarto said that Budapest believes that allowing Ukraine to transit weapons through its territory will create targets for the military activity of the aggressor country.
