“(Dina Boluarte) has 3 and a half years to make a good government and for this she needs to have a great team of professionals and politicians, that is, a good ministerial cabinet and a good premier, who know how to do things well with Peru in mind. ”, he indicated.

In the presence of his militants, Acuña Peralta affirmed that Pedro Castillo was arrested by the Police for acts of corruption and not because of the coup d’état, as it was intended to show. “He knew that he had to go to jail for his corrupt acts,” he asserted.

Thus, he also considered that Castillo was trying to save himself by carrying out a coup, “so that they say that he is arrested for carrying out a coup and not for corruption, but he knows why he is there (corruption). He is where he should be,” he said.

Pedro Castillo was vacated on December 7 by the Congress of the Republic, with 101 votes in favor, the former president was removed from power. Hours later, he was arrested by the PNP for the alleged crime of rebellion, with his former premier, Aníbal Torres, being his legal defense.
