Cavaliers rout Heat 113-87

CLEVELAND (AP) — Darius Garland scored 25 points, Cedi Osman added 20 and the Cleveland Cavaliers played one of their best games in weeks to rout the battered Miami Heat 113-87 on Sunday.

After ending a five-game losing streak with double overtime on Friday, the Cavs didn’t have to work as hard to beat Miami, which lost for the sixth straight time on the road.

Trailing 21-2 in the second quarter, Cleveland led by 19 points and the Cavaliers extended their lead to 31 in the third quarter. Guilty of blowing fourth-quarter leads so many times this season, they’ve now got the job done.

And the Cavs did it despite the fact that leading scorer Donovan Mitchell, who came in averaging 31.2 points, had just 13 points.

Evan Mobley had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Cleveland, which beat Miami 67-37 in the second and third quarters.
