Cargoes from Ukraine no longer receive insurance – Dünya

Companies stopped providing insurance for goods from Ukraine amid the suspension of Russia’s participation in the “grain deal”. This is reported by Dunya.

According to the Turkish edition, the risk environment has changed under the new conditions and uncertainty has increased. It is noted that after Moscow’s withdrawal from the “grain deal”, experts recorded an increase in the base rate for military insurance of ships.

“On Monday, this rate was 1 percent of the cost of the vessel, but on Tuesday it rose to 1.5 percent,” the article says.

The Dünya editors did not rule out the termination of the issuance of new insurance.

On October 29, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) attacked ships of the Black Sea Fleet, which were based in the waters of the Sevastopol Bay. As explained in the department, they were involved in ensuring security as part of the implementation of the “grain deal”.
