California authorities report casualties as a result of large-scale wildfire

At least two people have died in one of the largest fires in the US state of California – their bodies were found in a car on a road from which they could not leave.

“Local authorities announced that they found the bodies of two people in a car in the fire zone,” the report said.

As specified, the vehicle was found near the Doggett Creek highway. The bodies of the victims are being identified.

At the same time, it is noted that the fire has already begun to destroy the settlements, threatening hundreds of dwellings.

“Fire in McKinney – the largest fires of this season in drought-stricken California – covered more than 55 thousand acres (more than 22 thousand hectares – Ed.) in the Klamath National Forest near the California-Oregon border, ”the newspaper writes.

As reported, large-scale fires caused by high temperatures are raging in the western US state of California. Governor Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency.
