Until the end of the year, Ukrainian pensioners can count on an increase in pension payments twice more.
About this on the air of a nationwide marathon reported Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Oksana Zholnovich, Ukrinform reports.
“From October 1, the government program to support older pensioners will be expanded to the 70+ category. Pensioners who are 70 years old will receive additional payments to their pensions in the amount of UAH 300,” the minister noted.
She also said that from October 1, for all pensioners who are 70 years old and who have a full insurance record, the minimum pension will be UAH 3,000.
“That is, for such categories of pensioners, regardless of their income level, the pension will be at least UAH 3,000. For people who have less insurance experience, respectively, the pension will increase proportionally,” Zholnovich emphasized.
In addition, from December 1, pension payments will be recalculated, taking into account the planned increase in the subsistence minimum in the country (up to UAH 2,684).
“It is also planned to recalculate all pensions and benefits in December, when we will once again increase the cost of living by 3.5%,” the minister said.
As reported, since March 1, for 10.2 million Ukrainians, pensions and social payments have been increased by 14%. In April, the Ministry of Social Policy made an automatic recalculation for the unemployed. 3 thousand UAH the department has fixed it as the minimum pension payment since October 2022.
