Bulgaria may slow down EU enlargement due to vote of no confidence – Associated Press

Bulgarian lawmakers on Wednesday approved vote of no confidence to the coalition government of the country and personally to the Prime Minister Kiril Petkov. According to American analysts, such a step not only endangers the very power in the country, but also the expansion of the European Union as a whole.

According to analysts, such a split could slow down the efforts of the Balkan countries to join the European Union.

Bulgaria’s no-confidence vote could hinder EU enlargement, analysts say Associated Press. – He (Petkov. – Note. ed.) insisted on resolving the bilateral ethno-cultural dispute that had blocked North Macedonia and Albania’s EU bids. Bulgaria is a member of the EU and NATO.

Previously, Pravda.Ru wrote that for resignation of the current government 123 deputies voted, 115 voted against.
