Blinken and Stoltenberg had a conversation
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken discussed by telephone with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg the forthcoming NATO Foreign Ministers meeting in Berlin on 15 May.
State Department Speaker Ned Price announced this on Saturday, Ukrinform reports.
The interlocutors deplored the “destructive war of President Putin in Ukraine”, reaffirmed their support for the Ukrainian people and the territorial integrity of Ukraine, and discussed the importance of strengthening NATO’s deterrence and defense capabilities.
Blinken and Stoltenberg also touched upon preparations for the NATO summit to be held in Madrid on June 28-30, in particular, on the consideration of the new Strategic Concept of the Alliance, which will guide it over the next decade.
