President Joe Biden’s antigen test coronavirus gave a positive result, according to the press service of the White House on Saturday, July 30, a statement by the head of state’s attending physician Kevin O’Connor.
“Guys, today I tested positive again for covid. This happens to a small minority of people. I have no symptoms, but I am isolating myself for the safety of everyone around me.” wrote Biden on Twitter, assuring that he continues to work and will return to duty soon. According to the White House, two planned trips by the head of state have been cancelled.
O’Connor’s doctor said, “After testing negative on Tuesday, Wednesday night, Thursday morning and Friday morning, the president’s antigen test came back positive late Saturday morning.” Previously, Biden had already spent five days in home isolation as a result of his first SARS-CoV-2 infection.
Joe Biden is the oldest president of the United States of America. Nevertheless, a medical examination last November found him “fit” to serve as head of state.
