Biden reserves the right to strike terrorists in other countries

The elimination of the leader of al-Qaeda showed the possibilities and seriousness of the US intentions to fight terrorism, and if necessary, the head of the White House can carry out such an operation against any terrorist group.

John Kirby, coordinator of strategic communications at the US National Security Council, said this at a briefing in Washington, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“This strike showed how serious our capabilities are, how seriously we are ready to defend our interests,” Kirby said, adding that the US will continue to build up its capabilities in this regard.

Kirby also noted that representatives of the core of al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups remain in Afghanistan and in the whole region. He noted that terrorism poses a threat not only to Americans, but also to other countries.
