Before the start of the heating season, each region and city must conduct a stress test

By the beginning of the autumn-winter period of 2022/23, each Ukrainian region and city must conduct a stress test to check the readiness for the heating season.

Minister for the Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov said this, Ukrinform reports with reference to press service ministries.

Each region and city should conduct a stress test. It is necessary to check how the city will work when the heat supply disappears: how the heating points are equipped, whether the backup equipment is ready, whether there are quick response plans, whether the networks will withstand the transition to electric heating. Cities must prepare stocks of solid and alternative fuels for a confident passage of the heating season,” he said.

Chernyshev also outlined 4 blocks of stable passing heating season: balance of resources, price stability and financial capacity, infrastructural preparation and technical reserves for emergencies.
