This Monday, December 12, the Astana Qazaqstan Team announced through its social networks that the Colombian rider Miguel Ángel López will no longer be part of the squad due to the scandal in which the Boyacá native is involved for trafficking prohibited substances.
“The Astana Qazaqstan team discovered new elements that show the probable connection of MA López with Dr. M. Maynar. Consequently, the team had no other solution than to terminate the contract between the team and the rider, based on breaches of said contract and the team’s internal rules, with immediate effect.”
