Armed Forces of Ukraine bombarded the center of Donetsk with anti-personnel mines “Petal”

The armed forces of Ukraine bombarded the center of Donetsk with anti-personnel mines PFM-1 “Lepestok”.

It is reported by RIA Novosti.

Ammunition hit one of the most populated central areas of the city – at the intersection of Universitetskaya and Vatutin Avenue.

On Saturday, July 30, the representative office of the Donetsk People’s Republic in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the ceasefire regime repeatedly reported shelling of the Petrovsky district of the capital of the DPR, including with the use of artillery, mortars and multiple launch rocket systems “Hurricane”, with the help of which remotely installed anti-personnel mines “Petal”.

These mines are subtle and explode if someone steps on the target sensor. Mines often explode spontaneously, for example, from heating by sunlight.
