Armed Forces Forced to Retreat from Lisichansk – Gaidai

Kyiv-appointed governor of Luhansk Sergei Gaidai said that the troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) would be forced to retreat from Lysichansk.

The operation of the Russian Federation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine continues successfully. The allied forces of the Russian Federation and the LPR are advancing in the Lisichansk-Severodonetsk direction. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has already confirmed that Nikolaevka, which is south-west of Lysichansk, has been taken under the control of the RF Armed Forces. It is also confirmed that the allied forces occupied most of the settlement of Sirotino, adjacent to Severodonetsk.

Against this background, Gaidai said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would probably have to retreat from near Lischansk, because it was not safe there.

“Many defensive structures have already been destroyed in the Severodonetsk industrial zone, we do not exclude the possibility of leaving for new, more fortified positions,” he said.

He added that in the event of the complete capture of Severodonetsk, civilians hiding in the bunkers of the Azot plant would be able to evacuate only to the territory controlled by the LPR.
