Arianespace launched two communications satellites into orbit
The French company Arianespace has successfully launched an Ariane 5 carrier rocket with two communication satellites on board.
According to Ukrinform, this is reported by space.com.
The launch of Ariane 5 took place from the cosmodrome in French Guiana (Latin America) on June 23 at 00:50 Kyiv time.
On board the launch vehicle were two satellites: MEASAT-3d from the Malaysian telecommunications company MEASAT and GSAT-24 from the Indian NewSpace India Limited.
The satellites were launched into the planned orbit within 40 minutes after the launch of the rocket.
It is noted that for the Ariane 5 launch vehicle, this was the first launch in 2022.
As Ukrinform reported, China launched an experimental satellite on June 22 using a Kuaizhou-1A launch vehicle.
