Archaeologists have found a Bronze Age children’s grave in the Omsk region

The end of the field season for archaeologists at the Novopokrovka-X mound in the Gorky district of the Omsk region was marked by a valuable find. Scientists have discovered a children’s burial with many unique things.

As the director of the Museum of Archeology and Ethnography of the OmSPU Maxim Grachev said, excavations often find gravesbut this mound is truly generous.

In addition to many ceramic vessels, one of which was probably an incense burner, several bone arrowheads, a bronze buckle, two bronze torcs, and a bronze spiral earring were found.

Judging by the size and shape of the discovered bones, children were buried in the Novopokrovka-X burial mound, the portal writes. According to the findings of scientists, they were from a wealthy family, which means that excavations will continue next season.
