Antetokounmpo irrepressible; Bucks beat Knicks 119-108

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Giannis Antetokounmpo had 30 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists for the Milwaukee Bucks, who remained undefeated after beating the New York Knicks 119-108 on Friday night.

Antetokounmpo had nine points in an 18-0 run that gave the Bucks a 24-point lead in the third quarter.

The Knicks cut the deficit to nine points in the final two minutes but couldn’t get any closer.

Milwaukee (4-0) remains the last team in the NBA not to know defeat. He is capitalizing on a stretch of six home games, the most in a season opener.

The Bucks have defeated Houston, Brooklyn and New York at the Fiserv Forum after starting the season with a road win at Philadelphia.

Antetokounmpo, a two-time MVP, scored 44 points against the Rockets and 43 against the Nets for a career-high combined total in two straight games.

He didn’t manage to get as many touchdowns on Friday and was one assist short of posting the 30th triple-double of his career.

RJ Barrett had 20 points and Julius Randle had 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Knicks, in which five other players had 10-plus points.
