The hacker group Anonymous, which hacked into the Russian video platform rutube, has reported its likely disappearance forever due to volumes of data destruction of the main version and its backups.
It is reported by Ukrinform with a link to the group’s page in Twitter.
“Almost 75% of the databases and infrastructure of the main version and 90% of the backup and database recovery cluster were seriously affected, which means that #RuTube will probably DISAPPEAR FOREVER,” the hackers wrote.
At the time of writing the news, the rutube.ru website was not open.
As Ukrinform reported, rutube video hosting, which is considered an alternative to the American Youtube video hosting and which is used by Russian state-owned companies and media, has undergone hacker attack on May 9th.
