On August 2, Russia will celebrate Airborne Forces Day. On the eve of the holiday, the Secretary of the General Council of United Russia thanked the servicemen – paratroopers and marines – for the feat of arms on his own behalf and on behalf of the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko.
“This feat is difficult to overestimate,” said Andrei Turchak. – You protect the land of Donbass, return the Russian world. You continue what our grandfathers did during the Great Patriotic War. Kudos to you for this. I would like to wish you a speedy recovery. And, taking this opportunity, to congratulate the Airborne Troops on the coming day.
In turn, Alexei Naumets, Deputy Commander of the Russian Airborne Forces, noted that those from the military who want to continue serving in the Airborne Forces will be able to do this.
“Thank you for your resilience, bravery, courage. Anyone who wants to continue serving, regardless of the severity of the injury, will continue to serve in the airborne troops. You will not be left alone with your problems – we are one family, ”the military emphasized.
