An online rally “Mariupol is Ukraine” has started

In Ukraine, as part of the Stop Referendum campaign, an online rally “Mariupol is Ukraine” has started, the organizers invite all Ukrainians to join the action.

According to Ukrinform, the organizer of the online rally, a public organization “Yellow Ribbon”. The promotion will run until August 22.

“The Yellow Ribbon civil resistance movement, together with the city council of Mariupol, organized an online rally “Mariupol is Ukraine” as part of the “Stop Referendum” action. The rally is being held online so that everyone can safely assemble amid the war. Even Ukrainians from the temporarily occupied territories. The action will run until August 22,” the message says.

It is noted that the meeting point is a digital street on the Instagram page, where Mira Avenue in Mariupol is drawn meter by meter.

“We want the Ukrainians in the occupation to feel the support of Ukraine. To not give up and not recognize any pseudo-referendum at home. Mariupol is Ukraine! Donbass is Ukraine!” the organizers of the action stressed.

As reported, Russian aggression provoked one of the biggest humanitarian disasters in Mariupol. The city is almost completely destroyed due to enemy shelling.

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, about 22,000 civilians have died in the city. Over 50 thousand were deported to Russia and to the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region.
