Head of the Government of Albania Edie Rama reported that more than 20 members European Union were in favor of discussing the admission of the republic and North Macedonia to the union, but Bulgaria vetoed negotiations on this topic.
As the prime minister stressed, the allied countries showed “complete helplessness.” The Albanian politician added that he was disappointed in the European Union.
“There is something very wrong in this house,” Rama said during a summit of EU leaders.
Earlier, the official commented on the desire of members of the association to provide Ukraine with candidate status. Albania has been with them for nine years, North Macedonia for 17 years, the prime minister recalled.
