Advisor to the mayor of Mariupol explained why the population is growing in the city

People are forced to return to Mariupol, because Russian troops from Berdyansk, Vasilyevka, Tokmak do not allow them to enter the territory controlled by Ukraine.

Piotr Andryushchenko, adviser to the Mariupol mayor, said this on the air of the telethon, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, practically the only way to leave the city now is through Russia, and then through our friendly countries to Europe, and then you can return to Ukraine. Any evacuation from Mariupol to Ukrainian-controlled territory is today blocked by the Russians. Many are in Berdyansk, Vasilievka, Tokmak and cannot get through – the Russians do not let them through.

Andryushchenko added that the story of the evacuation is so sad that people are sometimes forced to return to Mariupol, so the population of the city is even growing: if at the beginning of April there were 100-130 thousand people, now it can already reach 170 thousand. An increase in the population in Mariupol will only increase the humanitarian tension.

Also, according to him, many former Ukrainian policemen are involved in filtration in Mangush, Donetsk region, and the level of collaborationism is so high that it surprises even the Russian invaders.

“The most furious point during the passage of the filtration procedure now is Mangush. Worst of all, in Mangush, most of the people who facilitate and carry out filtration are former policemen who, even before the occupation, were dressed in Ukrainian uniforms, that is, their own. They are joined by the so-called MGB and FSB. It takes place in a former police station. The level of collaboration in the Mangush region is so high that even Russians tell people among themselves that they are surprised,” Andryushchenko said.

He added that there is a big difference between what is happening in Mariupol, what is happening in the Nikolsky district and in Mangushsky. And in principle, at first, the occupation administration of Mariupol, together with collaborators, also worked not in Mariupol, but in Mangush. An adviser to the mayor of Mariupol called Mangush “the point of our public pain.”

As for the fate of Ukrainians who fail to pass the filtration near Mariupol, the adviser to the city chairman spoke about several possible scenarios: some end up in a colony in Olenivka, Donetsk region, others in the infamous Izolyatsia in Donetsk itself. There is an assumption that in the same place, in Donetsk, another one has appeared – a new place of detention, but it is still unknown where exactly it can be.

As Ukrinform reported, during the evacuation from Mariupol, the Russian invaders, carrying out the so-called filtration, began to interrogate even children – after interrogating the parents in their presence, they begin clarifying the interrogation of the children regarding the details. They try to catch their parents in a lie.
