Director of the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Alexander Nikonov spoke about the return of a 40,000th collection of unique museum artifacts to Russia from the United States.
Nikonov explained who contributed to the return of valuable items to their homeland. He noted the Russian Cultural Foundation and the Ministry of Culture. Funds allocated money, with the help of which in 2000 the last museum exhibit arrived in Russia.
Earlier in projects of the Victory Museum 130 thousand Moscow schoolchildren took part.
“Nikita Sergeevich Mikhalkov then rendered us great assistance in returning this collection, when the container with the exhibits was ordered through Finland,” argumenti.ru quoted Nikonov as saying.
Part returned artifacts found its place in the Russian Cultural Foundation. In addition, an exposition was created that tells about the history of the Russian Imperial Army.
