“Ukrainians are immediately given the opportunity to find a job on the basis of a certificate of temporary residence in Lithuania. He noted that Lithuanians are trying to create the most comfortable conditions for Ukrainians and provide them with access to the same services that they provide to their own citizens.

According to Beshta, few Ukrainians have been arriving in Lithuania in recent weeks – approximately 500 people a day, and the opposite trend is also emerging.

“We looked at the latest figures – 500 Ukrainians told local authorities that they plan to return to Ukraine. We cannot verify whether they have returned, but this trend is already emerging, and our people, who have somewhere to return in the non-occupied territory and where there is infrastructure, are already considering this possibility,” he said.
