At present, readiness for the heating season in Ukraine is 88%.
This was announced by the Minister for the Development of Communities and Territories Oleksiy Chernyshov, Ukrinform reports with reference to Ministry of Regional Development.
“There is a month left before the start of the heating season. Careful preparations for the heating season in Ukraine have been carried out all summer and continue now. Currently, the state of readiness is already 88%,” Chernyshov said.
He urged the regions to fully complete preparations by 6 October.
According to the Ministry of Regional Development, as of September 22, 349 critical infrastructure facilities in the heat supply sector were damaged due to Russian aggression, namely: 335 boiler houses (332 damaged and 13 destroyed), 11 thermal power plants (7 damaged and 4 destroyed) and 3 thermal power plants. In the planned mode, the state finances the restoration of the Akhtyrskaya and Chernihiv thermal power plants and the district heating system in Kremenchug.
As reported, NPC Ukrenergo calls on generating companies to ensure the uninterrupted operation of power units of thermal power plants.
