A charity match between football legends and defenders of Ukraine took place in Dnipro

A charity match between the teams of national football legends and defenders of Ukraine was timed to coincide with the Day of Ukrainian Statehood in Dnipro.

This is reported press office Ukrainian Football Association, Ukrinform reports. Legends of Ukrainian football, including Olympic champions Oleksiy Cherednik, Yevgeny Yarovenko, Dnipro star Oleg Taran, famous former football players Oleksandr Hrytsay and Mladen Bartulovich, as well as representatives of the coordinating headquarters and humanitarian hub of the UAF in Dnipro and the Donetsk Region Football Association, met at football field with the team “Slavyansk ATO”.

In 2021, the Slavyansk ATO team won the ATO Warriors Cup, and now seven team members are defending Ukraine at the forefront of the war against the Russian invaders.

The friendly match ended in a fighting draw with a score of 2:2, and the first vice-president of the UAF, the coordinator of the Dnipro hub Alan Pliev, the vice-president of the UAF Yuriy Honorable, the chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Region Football Association Viktor Andrukhiv and the first deputy chairman of the Donetsk Region Football Association Oleksandr Kosevich held a symbolic rewarding of the participants of the charitable duel.
