As part of the Army of Drones project, launched on the United24 platform, UAH 755 million has already been raised for the purchase of drones for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Thanks to this project, we have already collected UAH 755 million for the purchase of drones. The most popular donor countries are America, Great Britain, Ireland, Germany, France, Switzerland, Australia, Israel,” he said.

According to the vice-premier, pilots are also being actively trained within the framework of the project, 400 operators have already been trained. In addition, it is planned in the near future to increase the number of schools where military personnel will be taught to drive drones.
“It is very important that there are experienced pilots who could use these birds. To do this, we help develop schools where they teach how to control drones. Now we have two active schools, but in the near future there will be another ten such educational institutions,” Fedorov added.
Drone Army is a project initiated by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Information. This is a comprehensive program, within the framework of which a systematic purchase of drones, their repair, as well as training courses for relevant specialists are planned. The project started on July 1 this year.
