In the Kemerovo Region, investigators opened a criminal case on the negligence of Rostekhnadzor employees in connection with mine incident “Leafyazhnoy”.
According to information TFR, a case under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Negligence resulting in the death of two or more persons” was initiated against the chief state inspectors of the Belovsky territorial department of the Siberian department of Rostekhnadzor.
As the investigators found out, in November 2021, Rostekhnadzor employees drew up acts on the actually not conducted inspection of the Listvyazhnaya mine roadway.
The inspectors are currently detained. The issue of their detention is being resolved. In the near future, the suspects are planned to be charged.
According to the authorities of the Kemerovo region, on November 25, at the Listvyazhnaya mine, an explosion of a methane-air mixture allegedly took place. As a result of the emergency, 46 miners were killed. Later, among the victims of the incident were six mine rescuers sent to help the miners. Because of the incident at the mine, 38 miners and 11 rescuers were hospitalized.
In connection with the incident at Listvyazhnaya, a criminal case was initiated under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of industrial safety requirements for hazardous production facilities, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence.” In the course of his investigation, the director of the mine, his first deputy and the head of the section were detained.
