AT as a result of fires On the territory of Russia from January 1 to early August, 3.4 million hectares of forest burned out, mainly in Siberia and the Far East. This follows from the data presented on Monday, August 1, by the Federal Forestry Agency (“Avialesookhrana”). We are talking about outbreaks in the zones of ground detection and forest aviation works (2438238.06 hectares), about fireson which active extinguishing was carried out (79454.29 hectares), and on those territories where the intensive work of firefighters was stopped or suspended (901816 hectares).
Emergency mode introduced in seven subjects
At the same time, the state of emergency (ES) was introduced in seven constituent entities of the Russian Federation. It completely affected the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Khabarovsk Territory, as well as parts of the Komi Republic, the Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, the Irkutsk, Magadan and Sakhalin regions.
A special fire regime has been established in 58 constituent entities of Russia, including the Moscow Region.
As of August 1, 4,053 people, 316 pieces of equipment, as well as 31 aircraft were involved in the firefighting.
