The second group of wounded Ukrainian military arrived in Poland for treatment – 29 people.
Ukrainian soldiers will be treated in the hospitals of Malopolska (Krakow) and Silesian (Katowice) voivodships, Ukrinform reports citing Tvn24.pl.
The wounded Ukrainian soldiers arrived by a special medical train to Krakow from Przemysl. 15 soldiers remained in the capital of the Malopolska Voivodeship. The second group of 14 people was transported to Katowice.
As noted by Ukrainian soldiers aged 19 to 45 years, injuries as a result of gunshot wounds, explosions of mines and shells. They have a different physical condition, but their lives are not in danger.
Together with some of the wounded, their relatives arrived in Poland.
In Krakow, the Ukrainian soldiers were met by the Consul General of Ukraine Vyacheslav Voinarovsky.
Voivode of the Malopolska Voivodeship Lukasz Kmita said that the medical institutions of the region are ready to receive another group of wounded Ukrainian soldiers. According to him, many services and people are involved in the transportation of Ukrainians to places of further treatment: railway workers, doctors, hospital directors, policemen, firefighters, and the defense forces. Poland.
For his part, the Governor of the Silesian Voivodeship, Lukasz Vecherek, stressed that the treatment and rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers is “another brick of support” for Ukraine from Poland and its citizens in the face of Russian aggression.
Recall that the first group of Ukrainian defenders – 31 wounded – arrived in Poland on July 18 for treatment. They are being treated in 11 medical facilities in the Mazowieckie, Lublin and Lodz voivodeships.
