1,026 settlements have already been de-occupied in Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have liberated 1,026 settlements from Russian invaders.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko wrote about this in Telegramreports Ukrinform.

“1,026 settlements have been cleared. The infrastructure is being restored in the de-occupied territories,” he said.

At the same time on briefing Tymoshenko informed that work is currently underway to prepare a plan for the rapid restoration of people’s housing, schools, gardens, medical institutions, which were destroyed as a result of the Russian invasion.

According to him, restoration work is carried out daily in the regions, in particular Kharkov region constantly working to restore the destroyed infrastructure.

Tymoshenko said that in Chuguev, Lyubotin, Dergachi and the village of Elitnoye, restoration work was carried out on gas pipelines and electricity was restored after shelling.

Tymoshenko also noted that the Sumy, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions are carrying out demining, restoring social and road infrastructure.

On February 24, 2022, the Russian Federation launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which continued the armed aggression that had been ongoing since 2014.

Russian troops are shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, carrying out massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, air bombs and ballistic missiles.
