Police officer who received bribes will be tried in the Omsk region

The investigation of the criminal case against the ex-inspector of the traffic police of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Russian MIA Administration for the Omsk Region has been completed. He is charged under Part 1 of Art. 291.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Petty bribery”), part 3 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Taking a bribe by an official for illegal actions / inaction”).

It was established that the inspector twice received bribes from the driver and a representative of a commercial organization in the amount of 25 thousand rubles. For this, the driver who drove the vehicle in a state of intoxication should have been relieved of administrative responsibility. In addition, the vehicle was moving in excess of the permissible dimensions.

The crime was revealed by employees of the internal security department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The accused was fired.
