Moldovan deputies supported the draft state budget for 2022

The deputies of the Parliament of Moldova adopted in the first reading the draft state budget for 2022. This was reported on November 26 by the press service of the legislative body.

The draft budget provides for economic growth next year at a rate of 4.5%. The inflation rate is expected to be 6.9%. It is planned that the volume of exports will grow by 10.6%, and imports – by 5.5%.

The revenues of the next year’s budget, if adopted unchanged, will amount to 50.06 billion lei (about $ 2.8 billion), which is 9% more than this year. It is planned to spend 65.2 billion lei (about $ 3.6 billion), which is 13% more than in 2021.

The deficit of the draft state budget amounted to 15.1 billion, which is 29% more than planned for the current year. It is proposed to cover the deficit through loans.

It should be noted that the gross external debt of Moldova at the end of the first half of 2021 increased by 0.8% since January and amounted to $ 8.5 billion.
