Spain declares orange hazard level for Catalonia and Canary Islands

Snow, rain, strong winds and sea storms on the coast of Galicia and in the northeast of the Iberian Peninsula have put 11 settlements in Spain in a state of weather alert. The agency EFE writes about it.

Particular attention is paid to the Canary Islands and Catalonia, where the “orange” level (“significant risk”) is activated.

According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), in Catalonia from noon on November 26, waves of 3 to 4 meters are expected on the coast of Girona, where strong northeastern winds of up to 80 km / h will also blow, as in the province of Tarragona.
