Sverdlovsk residents convicted of killing an acquaintance with a frying pan

In the Sverdlovsk Region, local residents were sent to a colony for the murder of an acquaintance. This was reported by the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office.

The investigation found that while drinking alcoholic beverages, the men had a quarrel. Two local residents began to beat their acquaintance. To do this, they used a metal frying pan and an electric stove. The man died from his injuries in the hospital.

The court found the residents of Sverdlovsk guilty of committing a crime under Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm, with the use of objects used as weapons, by a group of persons, which inadvertently resulted in the death of the victim”). The men received 10 and 12 years of imprisonment in a strict regime colony. In addition, each of them will have to pay 350 thousand rubles to the family of the deceased.
