Feel again, that is the slogan chosen by the Palmerino consistory and that encompasses the entire Christmas program of the municipality. It will begin tomorrow, Friday, with the lighting of the Christmas lights from the Plaza de España at 7:15 p.m. A light that represents “the brightness, the luminosity and the joy that must exist in these endearing and fraternal parties that we need so much,” said the mayor, Manuel García Félix, who also stressed that it is also intended that people stay on La Palma “and consume on La Palma in order to establish employment and consolidate businesses”. Before the lighting is turned on, at 4:00 p.m., the Christmas market will be inaugurated and will be open throughout this weekend with the presence of the Royal Postman who will collect the letters destined for the Three Kings. At 5:30 p.m. the performance of a Zambomba will begin, which will lead to the reading of the winning story of the Christmas story contest that has been developed in schools. At 7:15 p.m., the mayor, Manuel García Félix, is expected to turn on the switch that turns on the Christmas lights.
These events are presided over by a large handmade Christmas tree, the result of hard work led by Mila Delgado and Cristina Rasero and a group of 21 collaborators who have given all their love to make La Palma look like never before this Christmas. Tree made with 6,500 plastic bottles that have been shaped like a flower. The mayor has thanked them for so much work.
