The Puente de La Rábida building has hosted this Thursday the Conference Technicians and leaders of Culture of the province of Huelva. The vice president of the Provincial Council, Juan Antonio García, has inaugurated this meeting, which aims to analyze the current situation of cultural management in Huelva municipalities.
The day had the participation of specialists in different aspects of local culture. Thus, the head of the Culture service of the Huelva Provincial Council, Félix Sancha, has made an exhibition on the cultural activities of the Provincial Council and the president of the Association of cultural managers of Andalusia, Rafael Morales, has addressed the public management of the culture in the Community of Andalusia
The Huelva Provincial Council’s Concertation Service, for its part, has made a balance of the cultural agreement in the municipalities of the province of Huelva, in charge of the head of the service, Diego Maestre, while Yolanda Benabat, Municipal Technician of Culture in Almonaster la Real, he explained the evolution of cultural management at the municipal level. Likewise, Uberto Stabile, municipal technician of Culture of Punta Umbría, has analyzed the relationship between culture and municipality and the importance of culture in local socioeconomic development.
The conference, as pointed out by the vice president of the Provincial Council, “aims to analyze the panorama of the sector in the Huelva municipalities and how the successive economic crises, the pandemic and planning have conditioned the development of cultural activities. This day is, therefore, a first approach that will focus on municipal cultural management and find out what its needs and limits are ”.
How culture is planned, how it is financed and how culture is managed in the municipalities are, in short, some of the issues that the technicians and leaders of Culture of the province of Huelva have addressed, in a conference conceived as an open proposal and forum debate. In subsequent sessions, the sectoral culture, the cultural industries of our province and the local financing of culture, among other topics, will be analyzed.
