At the same time, the Juan Ramón Jiménez University Hospital has wanted to emphasize that it has professionals who are especially committed to this situation, integrated in the Center’s Gender Violence Commission, who intervene in the prevention, detection and care of women in situations of mistreatment and minors in their charge.

Precisely, to make a quick professional intervention and prevent the situation of abuse that these women and the people who live with them continue and be maintained over time, worsening their health, they have established an Action Plan Against Violence of Specific gender in the center and, thus, to be able to adequately channel each case.

The Plan establishes the different scenarios in which gender-based violence can be detected at the Juan Ramón Jiménez University Hospital, whether it is due to confirmation of mistreatment or indicators of suspicion. In each scenario, as identified in Emergency-Traumatology-Mental Health-Pediatrics, in Hospitalization-Consultations or in the Obstetric-Gynecological circuit, the procedure to be followed and the immediate activation of a safety plan are determined.

Representatives of the areas of Citizen Services, Social Work, medical and nursing professionals from all the aforementioned areas and members of the management team of the center, are involved in all these actions.

All this, coordinated with the provincial health reference teams for comprehensive care for women in situations of gender violence and the people who depend on them, thus ensuring the correct care, continuity and follow-up of women with confirmed or suspected illnesses. deals.
