Some works that have been developed during the autumn period, as it is the best time of year to carry them out.
Regarding the equipment of this area for pets, it should be noted that it is a space that is protected with a metal perimeter fence, with mesh panels and a door for both pedestrian access and motorized vehicles, in order to guarantee its maintenance. In addition, the Consistory has been in charge of establishing connections with public lighting, water supply and sanitation services.
On the other hand, in order to provide users with shade in the hottest months, in addition to planting trees of different sizes, a wooden and galvanized steel pergola has been installed in this space that has dimensions of 3x10x3 meters. Likewise, the interior of the area has benches, an indicative panel of rules of use and a double fountain, so that both citizens and their pets can drink.
In relation to the pavement, in this dog area natural terrain areas are combined with a concrete space in different colors and an area of artificial grass at the entrance, as a 126 square meter hall. In addition, to reinforce the gardening, flowerbeds with shrubs and climbers have been set up.
In this way, after the start-up of this new dog area, the city now has a total of ten parks for users from Huelva with pets, environments that are located in different neighbourhoods. Thus, to this new recreation space we must add those located in the Parque de la Esperanza, the Juan Ceada Infantes Park, the Antonio Machado Park, the Robinsón Park, the Parque de los Olivos, as well as the spaces located in the Plaza del Stadium, in Calle Argentina, in Plaza de los Templetes and in the neighborhood of Carmen.
