The Municipality of Punta Umbria, within its summer program of Culture, brings together three events this weekend. Thus, two exhibitions will be inaugurated tomorrow, Friday, July 29, at the Cultural Center. And the Plaza de las Artes will be the stage this Saturday for the play ‘Conquistadores’, by Project Culture.
In the José Caballero room of the Cultural Center, the exhibition of the students of the local painter Antonio Cazorla will be inaugurated tomorrow, Friday at 8:00 p.m., which will remain open to the public until August 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m.
A total of 21 male and female students will show their small and large format oil paintings, within the line of realism and with varied themes: from landscapes to portraits or still lifes. All of them have the seal of the master, “but letting each one express their way of working on the canvas”, as Cazorla himself confesses.
For its part, the exhibition of photographs ‘In any place’ by Raúl G. Domínguez, will be hung in the Sala Teatro del Mar until August 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The opening will be tomorrow, Friday at 8:30 p.m.
It is a social collection, in the hands of the Diputación de Huelva, on the trafficking of human beings for the purpose of exploitation. It is carried out within the framework of the Novicom project: a state-wide program aimed at promoting knowledge, awareness and the implementation of social support actions for victims of trafficking, people at risk of being trafficked or people in a vulnerable situation.
After these two exhibitions, from August 6 to 18, ‘Building the future’ will be hung in the Teatro del Mar room, for the benefit of the ARO- Cristóbal Gangoso Aragón association, with works by María Angustias Núñez, Rafael García and Oliver Barbosa.
Through the Andalusian Network of Public Theatres, ‘Conquistadores’ arrives in Punta Umbría: a play to reconcile with history and with the world. Theater of the absurd with a contemporary staging that manages to make miseries laugh without the need to judge but to show.

The play tells the story of a ship about to set sail for the Indies. A thousand adventures await on the other side, uncharted lands, cities on water and unknown seas.
An exciting show, with a daring stage bet, where you will travel through the game through Peru, Mexico or Chile by the hand of well-known historical figures such as Pizarro, Hernán Cortés, Malinche, Moctezuma, Inés Suárez, Pedro de Valdivia, or Vasco Nunez de Balboa.
