Mazagón is already at the fair

The fair of Mazagon which organizes each year the Municipality of Moguer started this Thursday night with a great animation in the grounds of the public park. Mayor Gustavo Cuéllar inaugurated the festivities together with a group of excited boys and girls, authorities and many people who, after three years without a fair, were waiting for the reunion with their summer fair.

Before the inauguration, several members of the government team attended the booth of the El Espigón elderly association at the tribute that the entity paid to the most veteran members who received this simple but endearing recognition with delight.

The act of turning on the lighting this year had as protagonists a group of boys and girls who, together with the mayor of Moguereño, were in charge of giving the starting signal to a party that from the first moment registered a massive public presence.

After the opening ribbon was cut, the authorities from Mogue and a representation from the Palermo town hall toured the fairgrounds where 40 booths have been set up this year, where gatherings of friends and family have already begun to take the pulse of a long-awaited celebration.

Next, a magnificent photographic exhibition was inaugurated in which some twenty camera artists who regularly collaborate with the cultural magazine Marzagón, showed their visions of nature, the unique beach and the beauty that this beautiful coastal town encloses.

Mayor Gustavo Cuéllar and Mazagón councilor Paco Martínez thanked the participating photographers for their work and encouraged attendees to live intensely this fair that is organized in the middle of the summer season.

Subsequently, the local authorities went to the booth of the Marzaga women’s association where they participated in the award ceremony for the short story contest traditionally organized by this entity, which this year was for a great story by the author Joaquín Correa.

While the Nueva Alborada orchestra began to heat up the atmosphere and the couples took to the dance floor to make up for lost time, the councilors of Equality, Pilar Rodríguez, and of Mazagón, Manoli Núñez, toured the different booths to hand them some fans with the slogan “No es No” with which to raise awareness of the need to eradicate any type of macho behavior from our parties.

The Mazagón Fair 2022 continues this Friday with the bicycle party, the award ceremony for the booth embellishment contest, and the performance of Rocío Ojuelos.

Tomorrow, Saturday, the fishing contest from the shore, the performance of a brass band at the fairgrounds and the concert offered by Joana Jiménez stand out in the programming.

And on Sunday, the children’s gala with the magician Areson and the Nueva Alborada orchestra that performs every night of the fair.
