Huelva City Council and Virgen de La Cinta association renew their collaboration

the mayor of HuelvaGabriel Cruz, has signed the annual collaboration agreement with the Housewives Association, Consumers and Users ‘Virgen de la Cinta’, thus ratifying the City Council’s commitment. María Dolores Hidalgo, on behalf of the entity, has been in charge of sealing an agreement that entails support for the Municipal Consumer Information Office (OMIC) with a view to assisting Huelva consumers in matters of advice, claims processing or arbitrations or ultimately, support them to avoid unfavorable situations and to promote their rights and obligations.

On the other hand, Gabriel Cruz has highlighted the campaigns carried out in educational centers and neighborhood centers and social entities in general to promote the learning of responsible consumption, mainly in the child and youth population. Likewise, the agreement also includes the consensual programming of the events to celebrate the World Consumer Rights Day in Huelva around March 15.

Gabriel Cruz recalled that “we need the active participation of the city’s consumer associations to publicize the fundamental rights that consumers enjoy, demanding their protection and respect against abuse.” In consensus with the city’s consumer associations, Huelva City Council works on this matter from the OMIC (Municipal Consumer Information Office), which is a service responsible for informing, advising and educating consumers on all issues related to the consumption of goods and the use of services.
