The Huelva Provincial Councilthrough its Environment Service, has published the call for grants to carry out activities related to the protection and welfare of pets corresponding to 2022. The application submission period covers the period from July 25 to August 22, 2022, both inclusive.
The main objective of these grants is none other than promote the adoption responsible for lost and/or abandoned animals that are housed in the Provincial Animal Center, located in Valverde del Camino (Huelva), as a form of financial compensation to the animal protection associations against the expenses caused by the performance of this activity.
In addition, the Diputación de Huelva wants with these subsidies to support the protective work -reception, recovery and delivery for adoption- that the protective associations carry out with abandoned and/or lost animals in municipalities that have signed a collaboration agreement with the provincial institution for the performance of the Animal Collection Service.
Applications must be submitted accompanied by the specific documentation required through the services catalog of the electronic headquarters of the Diputación de Huelva, at the address https://sede.diphuelva.es, completing the information required for this procedure. The presentation of the application will require access through a digital identification system ([email protected] or digital certificate). The documents that are incorporated must be in PDF format, in accordance with the established technical requirements.
Foundations and private non-profit associations that meet the following requirements may be beneficiaries: have legal personality and capacity to act and be duly registered in the corresponding Registry; have among its purposes the performance of animal protection and welfare actions, as well as the promotion of responsible ownership and adoption of animals; have an impact with its actions, projects and activities in the municipalities of the province of Huelva whose municipalities have signed a collaboration agreement with the Huelva Provincial Council to carry out the animal collection service.
In addition to the above, they must have a demonstrable active presence in the province of Huelva in relation to the promotion of animal adoptions, considering as active presence the accreditation of a certain number of animal adoptions in the province, or that they have achieved their adoption. by third parties in the last four years, having adopted at least eight animals in the last four years.
In the case of entities that are recently established, the computation will be made from the date of their official registration until the application is submitted (2 animals for each year).
